About Us

Who are Ykids?

Ykids is a Bootle based charity that has run for over 17 years. Ykids works with children, young people and their families; developing individuals who can cope with whatever life throws at them, have plans for the future and and the skills to make their dreams a reality.

So why are we running a literary festival?

Ykids are passionate about changing the lives on the children in and around Bootle, education and especially reading, are really important factors in a child's life. To get it right now, makes things in the future a lot easier.

We have the backing of some great authors and organisations, sharing in that same passion and vision to see children's lives improved through reading and their education.
